Bexley Farmers' Market: September 15th

Farmers seeing Increased Demand for Local Produce

"Around the country, however, Americans haven't had to look hard to find a farmer this year; 4,900 farmer's markets opened, an increase from 4,685 last year, the U.S. Department of Agriculture said. In the most areas, shoppers can choose between several stands within a half-hour's drive in most directions from the city.

Bexley Farmers' Market: September 1st

I’ve always thought that the local food movement, while welcome, was only scratching the surface of what it meant to be local, and that a different theme—indigenous food, for lack of a better term: food with a historic connection to a region and its people—would resonate to a much greater degree with an American audience."
