Bexley Farmers' Market Moves to Dawson this Thursday, May 19th!

First Market Day is May 19th
Every Thursday from 4:00 to 7:00 pm through October

With this move, the Bexley Farmers' Market will be more accessible and within walking distance for many more residents, and will provide a better experience for visitors and vendors alike. Expect your favorite vendors to return, such as Dan the Baker, Hirsch Fruit Farm, and Bexley residents, Sweet Thing Gourmet, among others! Enjoy fresh-from-farm produce and meat, jams and jellies, bread and much more, along with live music from David Austin Sky, this Thursday, May 19 and continuing on Thursday nights until the end of October.

A note about the new location: the Farmers' Market is relocating to the block of Dawson between Main and Sherwood. During Farmers' Market hours, the block will be closed off, and users of the Market will be able to enjoy a more central location with better tree shade and a more linear layout. Users of the Market are encouraged to bike or walk to market when able, but when driving we ask that users park north of Main Street to keep congestion on Main to a minimum. Parking within one block of the market offers a 5x increase in market parking from the previous location, so there should be plenty of parking for market goers!

Together with the City, the Bexley Farmers' Market is considering relocating the market from its current location at Bexley Gateway South parking lot to Dawson Avenue between Main Street and Sherwood Road. The 2016 Farmers’ Market will be held each Thursday, beginning May 19th, from
4:00–7:00 p.m. through October.

There are several reasons why we hope this will be a beneficial change. The Market will become more accessible and within walking distance for many more residents, and will provide a better experience for visitors and vendors alike.

A meeting for our friends and supporters will be held at City Hall on March 30, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. to discuss these proposed changes. We hope you'll join us!
