Strawberries… I can’t get enough of them this time of year. I love the juiciness, the mouthwatering sweet flavor. And oh, so many ways to incorporate them into my routine. Today, I’ll share with you the benefits of strawberries AND the many different ways to eat them!

SNAP Connects Farmers and Customers 

"My winter diet cycles through a couple of staples: rice, pasta, canned beans, cereal, and potatoes. These are not my favorite foods. I eat them because they’re cheap, can be found in bulk, and stave off the feeling of hunger. When you’re on Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), despite the name, nutrition often takes a backseat to cost."

 

A heartfelt and personal reflection on the use of SNAP at markets. At the Bexley Farmers' Market, we are proud to accept SNAP, be a member of the Veggie SNAPS program, and to welcome all customers to our market!
